Hello fellas , I have a question I have a 95' e36 M42B18 ( 140 HP )and i want too do some modification to have around 200Hp .😁
Some suggestions on what I should change to reach that power🤔

Hi Petre, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you're not going to get 200hp out of it cheap or easy. The best modifications you can do easily will be a chip and maybe a light weight fly wheel to wake it up a little.
Beyond that the next easiest power gains are probably to turbo or supercharge it. If you want 200hp N/A you're going to have to do a full stroker build.

It's easy. Just look for a complete Downing Atlanta Supercharger kit (DASC). They're not easy to find, but they will pop up occasionally on eBay.
Otherwise it's a custom turbo, an S42 recipe like Warsteiner's build, or something like the Metric Mechanic Rally M42. None of these are cheap...check with Warsteiner, he might still have some spares.

Thanx for the tips
If i put a Turbo or a supracharger kit what PSI i expect to be a safe for the Stock internals ?
I heard they come from the factory with forged internals , it's that true ?

I'm a little late to the party but hey..... 8)
If you're interested in a 212HP motor send me a PM. Change the cams and you can probably get another 20HP.
There are lots of trick things to do for power in the M42. Tuning, stroking, porting, etc or add a SC or turbo.
Don't know about safe PSI since mine is naturally aspirated.
Cheers,
