Hello to the Forum, Is there any one on the forum racing a M42/M44 engine? I need to locate a set of valve seats for these engines. The engines will use stainless steel valves, will be normally aspirated and run 110 racing fuel. I would prefer a bronze/ alloy seat if possible. I have located some on the KIbbleWhite web site and can get a match on OD but cannot get a close match on the ID. have tried several of the aftermarket sites such as Turner, MM, VAC but no success. Using information from the "BENTLEY SHOP MANUAL as the source for dimensions: Page 116-12, (" Cylinder Head and Valve train"), lower section of the page, as a source? Appreciate any insight and information from the members and thanks, Jerry Poole

Have you tried telling them they are for an M50 vs. M42? I would assume there are a lot more hotrod M50's than M42's. RealOEM shows the same seat for both engines.

Give MM a call, Jim is great about talking to people and will tell you what they can offer, they build race engines capable of 8k+ with mechanical lifters and I'm sure could give you some good info.

Also try VAC
