Title: Two pin isolated cable near starter. Need a quick tip what it does. M42 EWS2 '95
Post by: Forwox on July 03, 2017, 04:37:54 AM
Hi, there! New to this forum and quite new to M42.

I am doing M40 year '91 NO EWS to M42 year '95 DISA + EWS II swap in my brokatrot E36 sedan. But I need a quick tip about electrics.

This Blue+Yellow with Green+White 2 pin connector cable goes out together with starter cables in 1st section under intake manifold of wire clunk, it's quite long about 0,7m. [Picture 1.] Does it is related to EWS II? Everything else is connected. Disa valve, idle controller, charcoal filter, oil filter housing sensor also, all places where 2 pin connector can be.

It looks like 1st wire in wiring diagram attached below. [Picture 2.]

Would be very thankful for any help.  :)

Should be an engine function.  EWS is under dash / keyring etc.
