Hello all,
So i noticed my temperature on my E36 318is going u. I always watch the gauge. So I pull over to see cooling pumping out under the car. Trace it to the part pictured. I want to a wreckers and got the part now I need to install it. Is there any manuals or anything that is going to make this go smoothly? Or help in anyway? I'm a Plumber so i'm pretty good with my hands already and i have all the tools too. Just any advise would be sweet.
I'm going to do this tomorrow as it pains me to see my BM not running.

That pipe commonly fails and it is best practice to replace new with genuine BMW. Search for "mess under the intake" and there is a color diagram one of the members did years ago. That will help immensely.

If you have an M44..1996 up.. change the other plastic pipe on the back of the head. It's next. Lot's of cussing on that one.
Clean all the crud out of the block so the new one will seat properly. I always put a dab of grease on the new o ring so it slides in properly.

So i am currently undertaking this task. I am having trouble removing the black squid of wires. It is a bit of a nightmare. I have removed the alternator. But still having trouble getting my hands on the last few. I have troled the internet for how to videos and people just skip this part. Any more tips or links guys?

It's been a few years since I did this project but I don't recall removing the harness. I removed the upper intake on mine and changed a few other rotten hoses. The pipe in the block is held on by 2 10mm head bolts. Grab a mirror and a good light.
