Title: M42+44 turbo build
Post by: cwlo on October 30, 2016, 02:20:36 PM
So I am putting together a turbo motor, and have 2 early m42's and an m44 at my disposal.  I will be using CP pistons, and was planning on using the M44 block, late m42 front cover, and early m42 on the rest.  (head, crank, rods).

I am pretty sure this will all work together, but just want to run it by here in case I am wrong.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi
That works
Bore is different though on the block.

Cheers

CP pistons are a slight overbore, so no problem there.

It's safe to go 86 mm on the bore for forced induction build.
But you will need either a m44 head gasket or a metal head gasket
