Title: Water pump removal-- am I missing something?
Post by: Jaredmac11 on October 01, 2016, 10:02:28 AM
95 M42... I am completely unable to get this water pump out.  Am I missing something?  is there a bolt that goes through the center of the water pump in to the block?

Ive removed every bolt.. I have whacked the hell out of it, I have tried prying it... eventually I broke the head right off my hammer.

Im at a loss.  I hope I didnt forget to remove a bolt or something...

Greeeeat... it really doesnt help that the block is on a stand.  I try to keep it from moving (with or without wheels) but I know Im losing a lot of torque on that stand.

I have broken a hammer, bent a breaker bad... I just cant get a good hold on the thing to effectively lever the thing out.
