Title: 1999 BMW 318 is (Club)

Hi all, I have recently purchased a 1998 BMW 318 is . Under the 318 is it has the word club, and the previous owner referred to it as a 318 is club. My question is does it have any actual meaning. The car was originally purchased for a diplomat and has a fairly high spec.

The only E36 "Club" cars I'm aware of are the '95 318Ti Club Sports.

Those were specific to the American market IIRC. I have no idea what BMW might have offered in other markets.
