Title: Seeking some advice on my build..
Post by: AdOz on June 21, 2015, 03:42:08 PM
Hello

I've got an e30 m42 motor for my 2002 which came from a friends 318is

I have a Holset HY35 with a 7cm exhaust housing for quick spool
A flange to make the manifold
My own made boost plenum
Megasquirt v2
And I'm waiting on intercooler oil cooler etc

Two main things,

Are ARP head studs the best bet?
I was looking to use a .120 multi layer steel head gasket is this the best option?

I plan to run around 10psi to see how it fairs up with a wideband and knock detection and megasquirt

If anyone can advise me on where to get the head studs and gasket in the UK I'd be grateful

Thanks I managed to find those! I'm going for the .120 which if I'm correct is 8.89:1 with 1 bar or boost with megasquirt a wideband a decent size oil cooler and intercooler I'm thinking this should be safe?
