Hey all, I'm looking at buying a new car! I've always loved the BMW e30's and this one caught my eye

I know it has really high mileage, but I've been emailing with the owner and it sounds like he took decent care of it. I have a decent amount of experience fixing/replacing parts on cars, and I want a car that i can fix up and make my own.
Any advice/thoughts/ideas would be amazing! thanks!

Are you ready to have the engine rebuilt? With that mileage its just about due....
Needs two wings: 285$ each from BMW.
Looks like it needs new sills... still available, not sure of the price... (see below)
Rear arch and other bits: pattern part available http://www.fixmyrust.com/Category/1984-1990_3_Series (http://www.fixmyrust.com/Category/1984-1990_3_Series)
I had NO experience fixing cars and this is what Ive done so far... http://www.m42club.com/forum/index.php?topic=18128.0 (http://www.m42club.com/forum/index.php?topic=18128.0)

Hmm, as of right now i am looking to bomb around in the summer with it, and go to and from work. so having to undertake an engine rebuild isn't high on the list of things i want to do, but i guess it makes sense due to the mileage being so high. Thanks for the input!
