Like I need another project car. Maybe it's something simple?
I consider myself well versed in the M42 so not afraid to wrench on it.
Looks good in pics and it's my favorite bmw color.

My only real experience with the compact is working on a friend's 316ti when I was stationed in Italy. It was in really nice shape; agonizingly slow on the autostrada, but a hoot to drive on the back roads and villages. I always wanted one to throw in an M-motor, but that will be when I tire of E30s. :)

I've asked to come look at it.
Maybe it can be a car I get just to wait for the M motor swap? :)
Why does it seem all the Ti's are automatics from the factory...

Isn't that the truth? I've looked at maybe 25 CL ads for E36 compacts, and nearly all have been automatics. The infrequent manual transmission models inevitably have a million miles and track time.
I've also learned to beware of anyone that claims he has a "Club Sport" model. There must be five times as many Club Sports on the road than were originally sold.
Did you buy it? The ad is deleted...

Nope, I was told he address of the shop where I could go look at it and it was nowhere to be found.
Followed by no response from seller I assumed they sold it and drove back home.
