Title: 95 318ti club sport project car?
Post by: G-Man on December 30, 2014, 07:54:10 PM
Not mine, no affiliation, etc...

I never heard of 318ti club sport's coming in blue but the ad states that the PO took a spray cans to paint the car, seriously!

To verify that it is a club sport, post # 22 in this thread gives the serial # range of the club sports produced

Ad says your favorite words, "or best offer"  Someone needs to check this car out.

Aw man, great find! The rattle can is horrendous, but the car has so much potential. Hopefully some one here can rescue her.

the guy we have bought the 318is and the 323i has a medium blue 318ti with less than 60k miles that has the California canvas roof.
He was trying to get me to buy it or even list it to sell for him? He wants $6k for it and to me.. that's way too few miles for a car that age. Too many issues from it just sitting there. They are a unique ride that's for sure. Rarely se them on the roads around here,

Last one I saw in person the guy had swapped out the 4cyl and put in a v8 M motor.

Interesting side note, the guy i was talking to said he recently contacted BMW NA about availability of replacement tops and was told only 2 exist in the entire BMW N/A Stock! So when it inevitable fails you are SOL on a new one :O

And I told the guy who has I would never leave this car sitting outside when he has a 2 car garage with a newer 3 convertible and his pos toyota camry sitting in there instead.

Oh well, when he takes $2-3k for it I might be interested but he wants $5-6k currently.
