OK, so after a few interested parties contacted me I am going to use this thread to track interest in a Group Buy on the Stromung catback exhaust for the e30 M42..
At this point, I have had a discussion with Stromung and I have requested a breakdown on price etc. from them depending on how much interest is generated. The last Group Buy for these ended at $399, so I would hope we can at least get close to that number.
Just to be clear, there is nothing in this for me other than convincing Stromung to make another batch of these. No payments would go through me but directly through the manufacturer and I am not getting any kickback, just the same better price I can hopefully get from them for doing this.
One last thing, it is my understanding that Stromung will only make another batch of these if we get enough interest, so while this system (pictured below) is listed on their website at $469, I don't believe you will actually be able to buy one at all unless we get enough interest here. I will also post this over at R3V as well under the same username.
I have personally inspected one of these on another members car, the fit and finish is great and they sound fantastic. Not raspy, a nice deep sound very befitting of the car it goes on..
Please either PM me or take the list below and add your name to the list.
Here is the catback, it has an 89mm (3.5") stainless 304 tip and is a straight bolt on. I believe the main piping is the same size as stock but this isn't where the restriction is anyway on these systems. These are hand made..

I modified the original post to include a picture and some specs on tip size etc..

Same answer as over at R3V -- I am in and ready to send money.
Hope this comes together again.

I would totally be on board if it was a header back setup.

Out of curiosity, why? Just to remove the cat? The only restrictive part of the M42 exhaust is the muffler portion from others tests.

Not exactly... The rotten factory cat/resonator was removed over a decade ago in favor of a Brullen. It's due for a replacement soon, even the best quality doesn't last forever.

You have my attention.

Looks like there is enough for the group buy over on R3V. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=332054
If you want to get in on this I suggest you act now. I regret not doing this on the last group buy and now they are $40 more.
