Title: 318iS Brake Master Cylinder
Post by: dude8383 on July 23, 2014, 12:02:07 PM
Hey peeps!

I'm tired of dealing with my braking issues...
(read here (http://"http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=269235&highlight=braking"))

I decided to switch back to the stock master cylinder setup however the part number for the 318iS is 34 31 1 161 866 vs the 325i's 34 31 1 157 206.

Both are 22/17 as far as I'm concerned. What the heck is the difference between the two? They're both for ABS systems but the former is nearly $300 whereas the 206 is about $200.

Anyone run into this issue when purchasing a new master?

Interesting, I had no idea they were different or what the difference would be.

As far as I've ever been concerned there isnt much of a difference, glad to know it worked!
