Title: Polished intake manifold
Post by: lambertius on June 02, 2014, 04:49:40 PM
So I hand polished an intake manifold for my car a few years ago. Its clear coated to prevent it from tarnishing and is pretty shiny. I'm thinking of putting ITBs on my car instead, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying the part? I live in Australia and would be happy to post it anywhere at the buyer's expense.

Did you use a tumbler/vibration polishing? Would look great with a polished header on the other side.

Nope, I did it by hand with sand paper and a cloth with polishing compound. It was basically just me sitting down listening to music I like and rubbing metal.

Great, wow! Sounds like one of my crazy projects. For example when I had to replace the headlight and turn signal plugs and ended up building a complete wire loom from the fuse box forward.

Cheers,
