Title: Tuner pro o2 sensor Issue.
Post by: Aka-e30 on April 15, 2014, 07:54:50 PM
For those of you running Tuner pro. Im having Trouble with the factory o2 sensor correcting my tune and leaning out my afr's back to stock after tuning fuel maps. what ive been doing to counter act this is leave the o2 sensor unplugged. This is working but the check engine light stays on and it kinda annoys me seeing it on all the time. Is there a way to deactivate the o2 through tuner pro via an o2 map or something? Any insight on this would be helpful. Thanks.

for reference in running Tuner Pro RT the Ostrich emulator and DMCL's xdf and bin which are working excellent so far other than the o2 thing.
Thanks again man. Going boost soon!

I have no idea how to eliminate an O2 sensor...there were M42 cars that ran a CO pot in the AFM instead of the O2 sensor in Europe. There's a disconnected wire pair on the firewall you can connect to configure the DME for European no O2/no cat.

Is there some sort of an AFR constant in TunerPro for closed-loop? If the DME wants to run 14.7:1 all the time, you won't be able to tune it properly.

Post some pics, a project thread, or attach the maps if possible. I've considered doing this myself but I've never gotten around to it. I'd love to get rid of the stock ICV and the AFM. If that's possible from TunerPro instead of a complete standalone like VEMS it'd be superb.
