Started about 5 PM last night and still coming down. I think I'll throw the M/T tires on the Jeep today.

You got hit a lot harder than we did - it's only been an inch or two here. I did note that both wooly bears we caught this year were entirely black. Coincidence? Perhaps.

It's a very dry and light snow. About 15 3/8" as of 0900 this morning. I hope it doesn't turn to rain before the temps get up to what they're supposed to.
What's the significance of black woollies? I take it you're talking about these?

Yep - that's a wooly bear caterpillar. It's an old wives' tale about the relative size of the brown banding. The thinner the brown band is, the harsher the winter will be.
It's complete hogwash, statistically.

An IH Scout Traveler with a Lock-right in the back is real fun/scary in the snow ... So is a Subaru, or E30 325ix ...
