Anyone upgraded their 7 button obc to 12 button obc on this model?

Not that I'm aware of. I did read this article at PelicanParts about it (http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-OBD_Convert/E36-OBD_Convert.htm) a while ago.

Awsome! Thanks bro I'm going to look into getting the parts and give it a try.  I wonder if the aftermarket alarm will be a problem.
