Title: Towing dolly on 318i manual

Is it bad to tow it front then back on a 318i manual? Because I did it today and hear a bang but didn't know what it was so  I just want to know thank

You shouldn't tow any RWD car on a dolly.  Use a trailer instead.  If you have to tow the car, disconnect the driveshaft from the tranny or the diff.  Check the guibo and center support bearing for damage.  Towing with the driveshaft connected can damage the gearbox.
