My friend did a E36 M42 (non EWS) swap into E30, but he doesn't know anything about electrics. So I did a X20 to C101 conversion. I need help with connecting marked wires. Can you please give me some pointers?

I put an e36 m42 into my e30 and didn't do anything but hook everything back up. I took all the sensors (oil filter housing, two coolant sensors, both CPS', TPS, and any others from the e30 and just put them on the e36 just in case) and then hooked up the old harness. I left the knock sensors alone and just let the connections free

Did you swap the manifold as well?
The E30 ETM is out there, with wire colors marked out:

Unfortunately, you'll have to track down each system one by one, but it won't take long. I use the '92 318iC vert ETM, it's more complete than the '91 version is.

Mistery solved, engine started.
