Title: Cam question..
Post by: bme30 on May 30, 2013, 08:11:18 PM
So in addition to my itbs i was thinking about upping the compression with the m50b25tu piston and the MM sport cam.

Im wondering if I should just install the cam and not bother with higher compression.

Would i see a decent gain with the itbs MM sport cam with tuning?

Yes, the cam and tuning are the best ways to unlock power. With ITBs I would consider a more aggressive cam though to get the most benefit.

If you are unhappy with this, you can always upgrade pistons later :)

Sounds good!  Ill check out other cam options.  But i dont want to go too wild as i dont want to loose too much of the low end.

Thanks

VAC 269 deg cams seem to be a nice aggressive cam thats still streetable. You could also try contacting Paul Burke to see if he can do M42 cams. Best way to contact him is through Miller. https://www.millerperformancecars.com/home.html
