Title: Lower Timing Case Cover Gaskets?
Post by: pputkowski on December 12, 2012, 09:16:30 AM
I have a decent oil leak from the lower timing case cover, just ordered the gaskets... anyone have a writeup on changing them out?

Is it fairly cut and dry?  I'm just hoping I don't have to remove too much to access the area.

I can remember but i think you will have to take off the valve cover to get the upper and lower timing plates off. Might as well replace all those gaskets. Valve cover uper and lower timing plates you will I think have to disconnect the water pump intake. To get the upper timing plate off. I hAve no idea what model or engine is In your car.
