Title: To do list...
Post by: deansweet on March 05, 2013, 05:26:16 PM
Seems like my projects will never end?
The 318i:
Replaced the oil pan for 3rd time.
Motor mounts.
Skid plate.

The 318is, things i have replaced in last couple weeks:
Lower pan gasket.
Gas tank.
CSB.
Fuel filter.
Rubber fuel lines and new clamps.
Rear Subframe bushings.
Rear drive half shaft on passenger side. Drivers side looked new.
Motor mounts.
Steering rack.
Power steering hoses from reservoir to pump&rack.
Outer tie rods.
Control arms.
Lollipop bushings. What a serious PITA...
Alignment.
The quote I keep telling my lovely wife,'I think this is it on ordering parts.'

Funny part is now the car has a crazy high stance compared to before?!
Hoping it settles down a bit as he drives it. Car should handle so much better now. Let's see if all this can last another 366k miles?!

I hear you with those front CABs.  Major PITA.

Springs/bushings should settle, I'm always worried about stance after suspension work but it always ends up OK.  You quickly put the car back on its wheels so the CABs would 'set' correctly, right?
