Title: profile gasket & upper pan gasket
Post by: mabeer on March 03, 2013, 03:19:33 PM
In the process of refreshing my timing components I noticed my profile gasket looks like my gut hanging over my beltline.

And my upper pan gasket is similar

Do you advise replacing?  Probably a stupid question but on the off chance I might save a bunch of work I'd thought I'd ask.

Thanks
Mike

IMHO better now than later.  The profile gasket does tend to squeeze out a bit, even when it's good.  Post some pics if you get a chance.

Don't know where the post went.  I tried to post pics and they were just red x's.  Went back to try and edit and poof post gone.  I'll try later.  Thanks

Maybe I need administrator approval.  Just tried again.  Post appeared, albeit with broken picture links, now it is gone too.
