Hello everyone,
I am rebuilding my engine. I had the shortblock upsidedown while taking out the pistons and I heard something dropping.
I found this metal semicircle and I cannot, for the life of me, find where it came from. Anyone seen this before?

there was one of those laying in my oil pan when the pan leaked and I removed it..the chain and profile gasket have been redone, so I guess it had been in there a while..
