Title: WTB: ITB's for my 91 M42
Post by: lateralfx on December 26, 2012, 12:56:10 AM
Like the title says looking for ITB's, dbilas is my first choice but I'm open to any complete kit or one that is comparable to it. If anyone has a set or knows where one is please let me know ASAP. Thanks guys in advance!

If you can find the bolt on kit get it.

I built my itbs with gsxr 750 itbs and that was a lot of work involved.  It runs great but still needs some more fine tuning and a redesign on the intake plenum...

Theres a set on german ebay that isnt dbilas

Obviously not a complete kit, so you would either need to build your own plenum, or go to a standalone to run alpha-n. You'd also need to sort out where the crankcase breather goes. Otherwise, the actual throttle bodies look very similar to the dbilas set i have.

I was and still can buy the ITB's from Extrudabody. However, it's expensive and will be over $2000 for it to have a plenum so I can turbo it. Right now my car has the AEM FIC and is set for alpha-n so I'm not using a AFM. The car run perfect and my DME has a Midnight tuning chip in it. Also my engine is a 2.1l stroker I bought from DVMotorsports with a more aggressive cam then the one MM offers in there rally engine. My car is tuned at 193rwhp but I'm hoping to see the numbers jump with a ITB setup. Thanks for the help so far but I'd like to buy something from someone here in the states and with a plenum I can run boost into.

Get the s14 itbs and plenum.  Get an adapter plate made and you should be good

If I lived any place else I would. Here in Hawaii we are extremely limited on fabricators and most guys charge way to much to do it locally. That's why I'm stuck looking for an already complete set. I wish our aftermarket shops could do real work instead of selling off the shelf crap.
