I'm looking for 45mm struts/spindles off a 84 318i. Need ASAP! Cash ready!

Good luck with that - those are fairly hard to find.

I have a pair of housings but I think they're the later 51mm with M20 springs.  I'll go check.  Strut inserts are wasted.

I'd strongly consider switching over to the larger size and pick up a cheap set of new struts like KYB...or machine a few spacers...IIRC everything else fits.
