Hey guys,
Visiting my dad in Jackson Tennessee from Knoxville, coming down his rocky driveway and a rock found my oil pan... does anyone around the area have one I could buy from you by Sunday? I'm in a hell of a predicament, there is NO where close that has something like this... thanks in advance

pull, clean and coat liberally with JB Weld?

pull, clean and weld it properly ;)

its hard to find a 'normal person' that has a tig welder siting in their garage. Or knows how to weld aluminum.
Those out there that have tried know what I am talking about. Yeah, aluminum has a low melt temp but its a pita to weld properly.
I wasn't intending to give advice for an 'improper weld', I figured he could easily find jb weld at local retailer and get it fixed enough to get him back (300miles/5hr drive) home and order a replacement. I guess the answer I gave home would be what I would do in that situation.
Guess it depends on how bad the crack is on the pan?

Yeah I'd do jb if it was a crack, but it's literally a hole, maybe pencil sized :(

Look for a guys which do A/C system repairs. They know how to weld or solder aluminium.

Blunt can get one there in a day for around 100 bucks.

Drill out and tap it to accept a bolt and JB weld applied to the bolt threads..
It will get you home and then some.
