Title: Be afraid... Be very afraid!
Post by: M42boy on December 10, 2006, 11:01:30 PM
So, I put all my reciepts for the 318iS in a stack..   a very big stack that is, and wow...     No, I havne't had the balls to actually add up what I've pissed away on this car, but just the height of all the reciepts stacked up is enough to send shivers down my spine.

So, I've attached here, two pics to show what I'm talking about...

P.S.  I will have many parts off my parts car available soon, including complete tan vinyl sport interior.

Is that what you've accumulated under your ownership? You should see my folder that dates back to the first owner.

Planning to part your car? If so that's sad news to hear.

I round file all of mine, I dont want the evidence for the wife to find. Besides its still cheaper than a new car.

I used to keep everything organized in a few binders.  It is scary how fast it all adds up.  I should have traveled Europe instead, honestly!

I should have paid cash for a P-51 Mustang!!!:D

The way I look at it is that the car is paid in cash and my insurance is only $95 every year. I don't have any payments besides this so mod/maintenance money is still less than if I were to finance a new car.

One of the primary rules of economics is "sunk costs have no value"....

No, not parting this car.  I have a parts car I bought a while back.  Shell is long gone, but still have a basement full of parts.  I need to clean it out of here so they will go on the sale block as soon as I have some free time.

Don't hold your breath anyone...  been a busy few months.

Trying to find a pic of the parts car, but not having any luck.
