Every time I turn on my my heat the blower fan makes this unbearable noise like its rubbing against something. But I took off the vent cover and there's nothing stuck in there and the fan spins free. Only when I turn it on it make the noise ? Any one else have the same problem ?

if its not rubbing, the fan motor is probably on its way out. they usually make some noise before they die completely.

And there a bitch to get 2 if I want to rip it out

Could be a bearing on the motor assembly. Rebuilt is the way to go, but a used fan will save a lot of bucks. I might have a good one lying around somewhere, now that 'm thinking about it.

Mine did the same thing, my plastic squirrel cage had 3 small cracks in it, so when you turned it on the crack would open up and create the noise. i used a soldering iron and cut up plastic into small plastic welding rods, and plastic welded it together. Look up plastic welding with a soldering iron on youtube. 3 months later its still holding togther!

On my e36. The plastic fan wheel broke on the one side and the fan would spin and rub against the enclosure. It will eventually completly break and it will cause it to not spin. I went to pull apart and got the plastic wheel for 4 $ becareful not to break the fan when trying to remove from the motor. They become very fragile with time. And will break with ease. Its a son of a bitch to get out. With out breaking aswel as putting it back in.
