Title: AC/Heater fan issue
Post by: DirtyD on October 06, 2012, 06:39:38 PM
I checked fuses 18-19-20 and the K7 relay, they are fine but my ac/heater fans still don't work. Last thing I remember about them as they were starting to go out is sometimes they would kick back on if I hit a big bump or pot whole. I don't know if that helps or not.

Any suggestions? the heat from my transmission and engine are not enough.... :D

I'd check the fan switch with a multi-meter.  You have the electrical troubleshooting manual, right?

If not, google wedophones bmw manuals and you'll get to the page.  There's a version of it posted in the reference section of this site as well.  I also use the '92 ETM as the '91 version is missing a few pages.

I don't have a multi-meter but I do know someone who I can borrow one from. Is there anything else I should check until then?
