Title: new 318is owner & m3 springs
Post by: michael avedis on December 04, 2006, 10:08:21 AM
Being a new 318is owmer I am just learning the different suspension options.

My question is how will e30 M3 springs work in the 318is 91 year.

Maybe compaired to an H&R and stock.

Could the rear sway bar be a 12mm bar?

thanks

well they would be between stock and the H&R's in both ride height and stiffness.

Use them with a high quality shock and they will work great.  I would recommend bils sports.

Post some pics when you can.  I have the Bils sport and love them.

I'd get H&R Sport or H&R Race/IE stage III instead of spending money for M3 springs....well I guess it depends how stiff you want to go and if the car will see any track.

regardless of the application, i would go with aftermarket compared to m3 springs.  but if money is tight then you can easily hop on s14.net and get a used set of springs for DIRT cheap... also, looking around for local sellers will help cut down costs
