Title: Gas pedal went out???

on the way home from school going a across the bridge i pulled over too take a picture and it was a bumpy/pot hole kinda road then my pedal went out. when i pushed it down it felt like there was nothing there. could that be a throttle cable im confused on this one and im missing school because of it HELP!!!!!

Open the hood and see if the cable is attached to the throttle.

The gas pedal on these cars are known to break as well. Make sure the top of your throttle pedal is still attached.

Sounds like the little crimped stopped on the end of the cable came off. That happened to me once. Assuming all the other stuff didn't disappear, you might be able to crimp a butt-splice onto the end until you can order a new cable.

You should also see about setting the gas pedal stop properly. The little end crimp breaks off when it is set incorrectly. Push the pedal all the way down and then adjust both the pedal stop and the threaded adjuster on the TB so that the throttle is like 98% open. If the throttle is 100% open before the pedal is down, you will break the end crimp off when you floor it.

The crimped piece on my throttle cable broke off as well. I ordered a new cable. Looking for other people who have replaced this cable, seems like an easy enough job.
