Title: E36 M42 Head Swap Clarification...

If you know what that means, you know that my #1 cylinder has very low compression. I'm fairly positive that my valves are bent and time for a replacement cylinder head.

I found a spare M42 motor off the E36 at the pull it yards but does anyone know for sure which timing chain/guides I can use from the E30 or E36 if I'm just swapping the E36 head onto my E30 block?

Anything else I might need or any tips?

TIA
