Hi, tragedy  :(
five minutes ago with engine warm, I've pulled it in first gear and between the gear change 1st-2nd I heard a "blimp" in the exhaust, like the detonation in a turbo engine...(like a piece of metal going from the engine to the exhaust)
then I've stopped the car and looked into the engine compartment. Nothing of damaged at first look. I've try to start my bimmer and there was a bad idle, with a tendency to stall and shut off. At partial throttle was undriveable with huge hesitations. I've droved it to my home for 2-3 miles at low revs and low load on gas pedal. When I was arrived there was a little little of smoke coming from the exhaust with a unpleasant smell...
there is no visible oil in the coolant reservoir...
what can it be??? Can be a huge leak, I hope that isn't the head gasket...
car now is parked (318is m44 e36). HELP ME.
thank you

I think your catalytic converter is dead.
-
yeah sounds like a clogged cat to me.

From the exhaust is exiting some oil and water (I think coolant) and white smoke when it's running...
-
Does it look like a latte when you remove the oil cap on your valve cover?
-
has the car been running hot?

Audis always have that rotten egg smell after hard boost pulls! ;)

Sometimes in my Honda when I back out of the driveway on a cool morning with the window down, I think the cats have been in a pissing contest.
