Title: Trying to remove ignition key lock assembly.

The key does not work in the ignition but works in all other locks.  The key will not turn the tumbler assembly.  I tried to disassemble but the key must turn the lock to remove the tumbler assembly.

Need Suggestions.

Has the key ever worked in ignition?
call BMW and see if they can get your key code and possibly a replacement for you? If it's like our 318is the door lock cyls had been rebuilt and we needed two separate keys(1 for ignition and trunk, 1 for both doors).
