I purchased this M42 ECU and chip from bwawuz02 for $160 shipped:

He shipped it quickly, which was great.

I received what seems to be a good clean ECU, which was great.

I decided to pop the cover off the chip and take a quick look at it.  It did not appear to be a genuine MarkD chip.  

I Google'd MarkD chips, and found lots of images of genuine ones.

I contacted MarkD and asked if this appeared to be a genuine one.  He said it's definitely not one of his.

I contacted bwawuz02, who confirmed that it is not a genuine MarkD chip, but a copy that he made of a MarkD chip.  

He has agreed to refund me $160 once I return the ECU and fake MarkD chip.

must be a lot of fake chips out there....i had the same problem a few months ago. Seller ended up making a refund.  Might be the same chip i had.
