Never seen this before personally, but I thought it was pretty slick. No idea what the true unit from BMW costs.

Yes, I know you can use the diesel crank, but 88mm stroke makes the piston velocity really high. 85mm is much better for a racecar.

Anyway, just figured it was worth sharing so we can all drool.

True, the whole engine would be the grail!

Do you have any pictures of the BMW crank? I dont think I have seen any. Same with the pistons. I assume the pistons are only two ring models due to lack of space in the deck height.

S54b32 stroke is 91mm ;)

Why bother with a BMW s42 crank when you could get an equally good crank made by skat cranks for $1500.
