Title: Advice on purchasing a 1995 318si
Post by: RzzlDzzl on May 08, 2012, 09:42:39 AM
I am looking for a car that gets better gas mileage than my truck.  Research led me to the 318si.

I am having a difficult time determining if the asking price of this car is accurate.  I know it is hard to estimate based on the following information, but feedback is appreciated.

1995 BMW 318IS asking price is $3800
Great Condition 318is, 5 speed manual, power sunroof, Mechanically solid. It has 167,000 miles and the 4 cylinder M42 engine has less than 9000 miles since a rebuild using only new BMW parts by a BMW technician. Clutch assembly was also replaced at the time of rebuild. Also new brakes, rear shocks, front control arms and bushings. Interior is in fair condition.
