Title: M42 COP guide, the easy way :)
Post by: NisseJärnet on April 29, 2012, 05:11:51 PM
Not very pretty, but it works great and is very easy to do :)

First, find a bracket long enough to cover all the new COPs.
Then take two long nuts and weld on the two middle valve cover skrews, then fit a stud or bolt long enough:

Splice the cables a bit and wrap them in tape or something, then find some rubber shit to place between the bracket and coils to hold the coils down. I tok small pieces of a old coolant hose, not for show but it works :)
Something like this:

Now its pretty easy to fit the BMW plastic piece too, if you want a near OEM look:

This is my winter drifting car so the finish is not that important, shine dont take you home! :)
