Post by: johnwoo on March 14, 2012, 09:03:51 PM
anyone run the rotella oil in their m42?  im looking at possibly running the 15w40 in the m42.  currently i run 15w50 mobil 1 per researching around.  just wanted to get some opinion on the 15w40 oil weight.  any feedback would be appreciated.  thanks.

We put this in some cars that are over 250K. Good stuff.

i use that, there's good info on it somewhere.  apparently, they use the same grade oil base used for formula 1 race cars... i could be way off in left field though.

I am not sure if its the only one..it seems I found 15/40 for my bike a few years back.   but, imho,  5/40 synthetic is just fine for an m42 engine.
