Hi everyone
I recently had a service done on my car, there was just enough fuel to get me home. Once i got home the car died, i tried to start it back up, it cranked but wouldn't start. (fuel has been put in car at this point!)
I noticed that the fuel pump doesn't seem to be priming in key position 2 (normally hear a buzzing sound for 1 second). But when i crank the engine over i can hear a noise like the fuel pump is working.
I had a spare fuel pump so i changed it but same issue. Does anyone have any ideas.
Your help is greatly appreciated guys!!
Thanks in advance.

I'd jump the fuel pump relay to see if the pump is working. With the key on and the relay jumped the pump will run continuously. If you have an e30, it's on the firewall under a plastic cover. If that works, test the crank position sensor resistance. Should be about 640 ohms. The ECU/DME won't turn on the pump until the crank sensor tells it that the engine is turning over.
If the pump isn't working, test it directly from the battery with a long jumper cable. Just beware of sparks and gasoline vapors!
