I bought a 95 318ti with a bad head and have repaired the head. So, now I am in the process of changing all the fluids and I discovered that a jerk had epoxy the oil pan drain plug. The plug came out in two pieces the other half is in the pan. The pan threads were not damaged so i was able to buy a new drain plug. I took my magnet and was able to locate the other half in the pan, but it wont come out. So, I need to go thru the pain of pulling the oil pan. Can I drill the hole bigger and remove the other half and replace with a helico or Do I go thru dropping the suspension? Is there an easy way to remove the pan? Thanks Guys,

I'd leave it. The one-piece pan isn't fun.
Get it when you overhaul the motor...the oil pump intake screen will hold it out of the motor.
