Title: Idle Air Control Valve - No Hose Clamp?
Post by: 5m1dy on January 10, 2012, 06:14:18 AM
The strangest thing happened to me today, just after I started the car there was a pop from the engine bay, then the car started running really rough and hunting for idle. It even stalled when I engaged the clutch in the middle lane...

Turns out the hose connected to the IACV just on the throttle body side popped off. (Where the green line connects to the IACV) Took me a while to find the problem, but once I got it back on tight, the car ran fine, better than before even.

Is there meant to be a clamp on this hose? Has anyone else had this happen?

Mine doesn"t have a clamp there either, but I've not had a problem with it popping off.
