So in trying to sort out my Lambda 1 code replacing all the vacuum hoses seems like the first thing to try, and all new vacuum hoses is just a good thing no matter what.
Where are all the vacuum hoses? I have a moderate amount of automotive experience but only a years worth of diving right in and this is also my first E30. I'm seeing that blunttech sells 5 meters of different color vacuum hose, price depends on color, do these colors matter or is it all the same? Seems to me I can just buy a spool of it like that and cut it up and replace all the hose once I know where it all is.
Thanks in advance!

All of the vac lines are on the intake side of the engine, but most are buried under the intake manifold. Check out the "Mess under the intake" thread. http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2742 (http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2742) Skip to the last page for a quick diagram. Of course fixing the mess in a non-stock way is not terribly useful if you are in a state with rigid inspections.
