I've searched a bit on this topic, but haven't found all the info I'd like. I'm wondering what is involved in making newer style pencil shaped coils fit an M42.
It looks like the pencil coils are a bit bigger around (28mm instead of 25mm) and the connectors are different. But is the wiring the same? Are there any other problems to deal with?
Also, is the only thing holding them in place a friction fit, or do they need some kind of bracket to keep them in place?
Anyone have pictures of their setup?

I have Rob's kit, I think. It's a thick strip of metal tapped to fit M62 coils, I think. I'm pretty sure I had a picture 'round here somewhere...
Regardless, he sells the whole kit, plug & play, for about $200 IIRC. Definitely the way to go AFAIC.

M62 uses regular COP coils, not the newer thinner pencil style.

Nope, have no idea then. Hopefully someone else will chime in...

Robs kit uses the M50 style coils. Not sure if that is the same as M62.
