Title: TDC trigger wheel tooth?
Post by: wazzu70 on September 23, 2011, 11:40:23 PM
I lined my crank up to TDC and counted 20 teeth back to the VR sensor. Is this what other people have found for their config files?

This is with the first tooth after the gap being 1 and not 0 so 20 physical teeth.

Just wanted a confirmation from someone else :)

Thanks.

I have a Link G4 which works with  degrees. it required -115 degree from memory to get the correct tdc reference of the first tooth. seems like your on the right track for your ecu

Each tooth is 6 deg of rotation (360 deg/60 teeth). Yours is 19 teeth. Not sure how your ECU works though. Mine has a first trigger tooth and then degrees after FTT as the variable. If you have FTT as tooth 1 then we have the same thing.

I will verify my counting again today :)

Thanks for the reply!
