Title: what engine management to go with?

I was going to go W.A.R chip til they dropped 318s.

I would like plug and play and easy to use maps. I read nothing but horror storys about megasquirt, but they all to seem to be old posts.

I just want to know what management for my T04e, 42lbs+, 91 octane and e85 set up.

I'd still really like to try the war chip if anybody know where to find one.

WAR chip sucks. Its not fully tunable. They provide a fueling and ignition curve and you can basically +/- the values from there within a certain range.

I am setting up VEMS on my car right now and documenting how to make the config file.

Go to http://www.vems.hu/vt/ to check out the software (watch the videos too)

You can also talk to Gunni at GStuning.net about the system. He should be able to get a reasonable basemap for you.

VEMS is similar to MS in that its open source, but the hardware is SO much better. You dont have to solder crap together to get different functions, its all built in.

Nothing is really plug and play though and if you dont understand the concepts of tuning, the ECU can't magically do it for you.

just use the stock DME - Better then any other aftermarket system around
