Title: The intake is not changing to the short runners at 4,500 RPM
Post by: lqbanotxano on July 17, 2011, 07:25:16 PM
Driving my car today I figured out what is different. The intake is not changing from the long runners to the short runners at 4,500 RPM. It is staying on the long intake runners.

Anybody know what to look for?

I moved your post to a new thread just to keep things clearer.  Unfortunately, I don't know anything about that system.

Personally I'd try to keep it in the short config until it's repaired.  All I could find is a few guys replacing the actuator.  Here's a link.

Thanks for the reply.

The info on that other site you refered me to is enough to get me started.

Sorry I don't know a little more.  I'll be sure to let everyone know when I find an e36 to experiment upon...I love the shape, especially the sedan and the hatch...

...but the e30 is so much simpler!  Hard to choose...
