hi, desktopdave recently mentioned to me that a e36 m42 trans maybe a direct replacement for a e30 m42 box. Does anyone know of anyone who has done it. Any links would be excellent. Cheers m42 fans.

It is direct replacement. I only swapped clutch stuff and gear change connection is different and should be swapped.. Clutch slave cilinder also should be swapped as I remember...
