Title: new crankshaft posistion sensor reads 900 ohms

like the title says, i want to know if this is normal for a new part before i install it and void the return policy. thanls

Return it.  Spec is a range from 575 to 700 ohms (640 plus or minus 10%) between pins 1 & 2.

The Bentley is wrong, they quote 1280.  That's actually for the cam position sensor.

thanks dave, also do you know why some of my other post dont show up in my first thread? i posted like 3 new comments after yours and none of them show up.

The updated spam filters are very tough about posts from new users.  The board will flag posts and prevent members from seeing them.

When I see legitimate "moderated" posts I've been approving them, but I only check the board out a few times throughout the day...unless I'm on vacation...so it can take a while before I get to them.  They'll appear after I approve them.  I'll delete posts with duplicate info.
